Editorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1488\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1488\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1488\" alt=\"mnnlogo1\" src=\"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/mnnlogo1.png\" width=\"230\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a>MNN:\u00a0 IDLE NO MORE.\u00a0 Editorial<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>MNN.\u00a0 Dec. 12, 2012.\u00a0 The Assembly of First Nations AFN and Iroquois Caucus IC merged their corporations on December 4<sup>th<\/sup> 2012. The Iroquois Caucus represents the band councils on the Mohawk communities in Canada, not the legitimate Mohawk people or Iroquois Confederacy.\u00a0 They take credit for our grassroots activism.\u00a0 In fact they worked behind the scenes to help their benefactors, the Canadian government, to try to silence us and continue the illusion of freedom.<\/b><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The AFN represents the other colonial band councils in Canada.\u00a0 It appears that these two corporate branches are at the forefront of the \u2018Idle No More\u2019 movement or taking over the agenda. They are trying to give the impression that all Indians follow the Indian Act, which is a lie.<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The merger is supposed to be the start of a combative relationship between the AFN and the federal government.\u00a0 How? Both lobby groups are being paid by the corporation of Canada.<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The Iroquois Caucus has nothing to do with resisting the colonists.\u00a0 They are well paid to pacify, confuse us and make sure that the true Confederacy cannot institute the Great Law of Peace. \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>They have no legal right to enter into any negotiations involving our people, land and resources.\u00a0\u00a0 They only represent the band council corporate Indians and the voters in the reserve elections.\u00a0 Grassroots peoples will not be sitting at the negotiating table when these three corporations [AFN, IC and Canada] wheel and deal away our resources and place more genocidal restrictions on us.<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Prime Minister Harper is frustrated over AFN\u2019s failure to shut us up and make us subservient.\u00a0 His fascist bill C [whatever!] will create more starvation, imprisonment and death from economic, racial, cultural, spiritual genocide.\u00a0 Every successful independent Indigenous business is criminalized. \u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Harper wants a new team of super obedient Indians.\u00a0 As the Economic Hitman says, \u201cDon\u2019t worry about the people. Just think about you and your family\u201d.\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The 1924 Indian Advancement Act placed us under the most oppressive economic sanctions of any people on earth, to try to starve us into submission.\u00a0 The reserves were and still are prisoners of war camps.\u00a0 To eat we are forced into oppression.\u00a0 They want to remove us to take our resource rich land for the multinational corporations and to create toxic garbage dumps.\u00a0 [Attawapiskat, Keshachewan, Akwesasne, Kahnawake, Tyendinaga, etc.].\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The \u201cIt\u2019s-No-Use\u201d AFN met recently in the Gatineau to tell us how bad and hopeless everything is and practically told us we had to keep on living with it. \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The delegates crossed the Ottawa River to march on Parliament Hill and tried to enter the House of Commons.\u00a0 The scuffle was over in an instant.\u00a0 The government knew it was their puppets and could slam the door in their faces.\u00a0 According to the Indian Act the Indians are not allowed to go in.\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=1501\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1501\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1501\" alt=\"parley\" src=\"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/parley.jpeg\" width=\"262\" height=\"192\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>The true ongwehonweh of Great Turtle Island will not beg for what is ours. The visitors will be reminded of their illegal occupation of our land, theft of our possessions, the genocide and what they owe us.\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Why are our people fighting for treaties?\u00a0 These illegal contracts are not worth the paper they are written on.\u00a0 We don\u2019t get anything.\u00a0 They got the right to control us and take everything from us.\u00a0 Every treaty has been broken, which makes them null and void.\u00a0<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The only true treaty is the Guswentha in 1701 giving them refuge and to become of one mind with us.\u00a0 They could never have any jurisdiction over us, our land, resources, air and water.\u00a0 International law provides that when a treaty is broken everything reverts to one day before the treaty, June 24 1701.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The occupiers issue corporate band cards.\u00a0 The holders are deemed to be Canadian Indians under Canada\u2019s corporate sovereignty and jurisdiction. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>If band cards were torn up tomorrow and Canadian corporations were renounced, only band council chiefs and those who vote in their elections would remain as their artificial corporate Indians.\u00a0 The rest of us would be in the driver\u2019s seat, not being part of the foreign corporations and having never given up anything. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Canada loses $60 million a day, $22 billion a year, because of the discount prices they get for selling our oil to the US.\u00a0 They want to sell it to Asian markets via the West coast.\u00a0 We will never allow the pipeline to go through ongwehoneh land.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We closed down the Northern Gateway pipeline project.\u00a0 In the 1970s we shut down the Mackenzie Valley pipeline.\u00a0 Scumbags Enbridge was shut down.\u00a0 The thieves don\u2019t want to be honest with their landlords.\u00a0 Instead they send their fake cops [police officers] to threaten us.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The settlers came here with nothing, no common language, people or history.\u00a0 They brought greed and a thirst for blood.\u00a0 They are panicking, angry, frustrated and threatening us because they never thought they would be accountable.\u00a0 It is time to dissolve the squatting illegal corporation of Canada.\u00a0 Yes, we will tell foreign governments, corporations and their entities what they may or may not have.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>We must work together as one inherent people of Great Turtle Island.
