fanfare<br \/>\nYou didn\u2019t wait for photo ops<br \/>\nAll that attention you didn\u2019t care<\/p>\n<p>You did your job you didn\u2019t ask<br \/>\nTo be told there was no need<br \/>\nYou simply stood upon the Law<br \/>\nAnd others followed by your lead<\/p>\n<p>Your name was known across the homelands<br \/>\nEach territory knew just who to call<br \/>\nWhenever the Crown would attempt to reign<br \/>\nYou\u2019d lead charge and say f**k em all!<\/p>\n<p>There were those that didn\u2019t like you<br \/>\nOthers feared what they could see<br \/>\nBut they all learned to respect you<br \/>\nCause they knew you would succeed<\/p>\n<p>You didn\u2019t tolerate bullshit<br \/>\nNor ego driven fools<br \/>\nYou\u2019d pointedly put them in their place<br \/>\nPlaying only by your own rules<\/p>\n<p>It didn\u2019t matter what title they wore<br \/>\nNor what commandeering rank<br \/>\nYou pulled no punches and spoke your mind<br \/>\nYour message always clear &amp; frank<\/p>\n<p>You didn\u2019t take kindly to two faces<br \/>\nOr people with no mind of their own<br \/>\nWho only repeated what others said<br \/>\nAnd cowered when truth be shown<\/p>\n<p>There were those who thought you arrogant<br \/>\nOthers admired your carefree ways<br \/>\nBut everyone knew when your truck pulled in<br \/>\nThe OPPressors had numbered days<\/p>\n<p>From Ganienkeh to Kanesetake<br \/>\nFrom Gilkison to the Glebe<br \/>\nThere was the sewer line in Brantford<br \/>\nAnd many others in between<\/p>\n<p>You helped shut down the thruway<br \/>\nThat crossed over Seneca lands<br \/>\nFrom Tyendinaga to Akwesasne<br \/>\nYou were always willing to lend a hand<\/p>\n<p>From Eagles Nest to Ipperwash<br \/>\nYou brought the truth out from the dark<br \/>\nDelivering the map that proved the burial grounds<br \/>\nWhile Harris cried \u201cI want the F**kin Indians out of the Park\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You worked tirelessly at Kanonhstaton<br \/>\nKeeping the Peace by whatever means<br \/>\nTook A.R.T. and M.E.L.T. &amp; showed the truth<br \/>\nSo they quickly dissolved those teams<\/p>\n<p>You stopped construction of the city lines<br \/>\nAt Erie Ave &amp; Birketts Lane<br \/>\nNo friendship swayed you stood your ground<br \/>\nHoping others would do the same<\/p>\n<p>There was never any question<br \/>\nIt was your duty to give support<br \/>\nYou said to hell with Crown jurisdiction<br \/>\nAnd scoffed at injunctions from the courts<\/p>\n<p>You fought hard and always did your best<br \/>\nTo uphold the Law and never bend<br \/>\nFighting for the land and the people<br \/>\nA true warrior till the very end<\/p>\n<p>A sword and a shield together<br \/>\nBound together under Creators Law<br \/>\nNo earthly man could break the bond<br \/>\nWe stood strong throughout it all<\/p>\n<p>A year ago He called you home<br \/>\nYour spirit\u2019s dancing now it\u2019s free<br \/>\nI will always love and miss you Hon<br \/>\n&amp; You will always be a HERO to me<\/p>\n<p>Written in loving memory for the man who captured my heart, and whose love and memory is my keepsake that I will hold in my heart forever~ my husband, my soul mate ~ Richard (Dick) Hill.<\/p>\n<p>A True Warrior is not measured by the outcome of war, but at having the Courage to have gone in to battle.<\/p>\n<p>Always &amp;
