{"id":680,"date":"2012-06-20T17:25:17","date_gmt":"2012-06-20T21:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/?p=680"},"modified":"2012-07-20T11:22:10","modified_gmt":"2012-07-20T15:22:10","slug":"1812-flames-across-the-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mohawknationnews.com\/blog\/2012\/06\/20\/1812-flames-across-the-border\/","title":{"rendered":"1812 FLAMES ACROSS THE BORDER"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/mnnlogo2.png\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"mnnlogo\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/mnnlogo2-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>MNN.\u00a0 20 June 2012.\u00a0 Canadians are celebrating their victory in the War of 1812 with lies.\u00a0 \u00a0Canada refuses\u00a0<\/strong><strong>to acknowledge their obligations and debt to the Mohawks. \u00a0They want to keep robbing us of our territory and resources for a few pennies in &#8220;treaty negotiations&#8221; or &#8220;partnership agreements.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>The Six Nations of the Grand River withdrew from the commemoration of the Battle of Queenston Heights.\u00a0 Our major role in the three opening battles was belittled.\u00a0Our duty was to protect the Two Row Agreement and for the invaders to live in peace.\u00a0 A wampum belt that the Crown had given to the Mohawks in 1912 was going to be presented acknowledging our independance and sovereignty.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/covenant-chain.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"covenant chain\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/covenant-chain-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/two-row2.gif\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"two row\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/two-row2-150x39.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"39\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>The British have all our wampums on all our agreements since 1684 when they arrived in Albany.\u00a0 We can help them translate the wampums and polish the chain.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Regarding the Covenant Chain and the Two-Row Wampum, in 2009 Canada stated that the understanding between the Crown and the Haudenosaunee has changed.\u00a0 Everything is confirmed in the wampums! \u00a0Canada said a discussion would not be constructive for them.\u00a0 Everything reverts back to one day before June 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a01701 when we presented the Two Row Wampum to them with 47 Indigenous nations adhering to the agreement.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Mohawk warriors determined the course of world history. \u00a0Canada\u2019s Prime Minister Harper has re-written this 200 years later. In the War of 1812 the Mohawks were not just &#8220;allies&#8221;.\u00a0 The Rotiskenrakete always watched whether they were keeping the peace on both sides of the corporate border<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Canada was formed through three Mohawk victories. The Americans declared war on the British to take over Canada. \u00a0The first battle was April 1812.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/michilimackinac.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"michilimackinac\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/michilimackinac-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0The Mohawks went to the American Fort Michilmacinac at the convergence of the three big lakes. \u00a0The Mohawks grabbed the American patrols, killed them and sent them back with no skin except for one. \u00a0The Americans immediately surrendered to the British to save themselves from the Mohawks.\u00a0 Not one shot was fired.\u00a0 British General Brock claimed victory, though it was a Mohawk victory. \u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/battle-of-detroit.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"battle of detroit\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/battle-of-detroit-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>In Detroit the Mohawks were joined by Tecumseh and his Shawnee warriors.\u00a0 We were stationed around Fort Detroit.\u00a0 Brock sent word to the Americans, &#8220;I can\u2019t control the Indians. \u00a0They want to skin you all&#8221;. \u00a0Without a shot being fired, 1500 Americans surrendered\u00a0to the British once again to save themselves from the Mohawks. \u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>The third battle was at Queenston Heights on October 13. \u00a0Americans sent thousands of soldiers across the Niagara River to secure the British gun battery. \u00a0Gen. Brock was in his barracks.\u00a0 In the early morning, he ran out to the battlefield with a sword, got a musket ball in the head and died in the first 3 minutes of the battle.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/brock-death.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"brock death\" src=\"http:\/\/thahoketoteh.ws\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/brock-death-150x148.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"148\" \/><\/a>\u00a0The British troops grabbed their dead general and immediately retreated from the battlefield. \u00a0The 96 Mohawks warriors watched. Then they stood up and took the guns.\u00a0 When the Americans saw the Mohawks, they ran for their lives across the river.
