I\u2019m putting a call out for help at the site on highway 132 near KSS. I have been informed that the police will be conducting an operation at sunrise this morning to remove me and anyone in the way of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake assertions over our lands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The journey and the path I\u2019ve taken had begun the day I was born. As a kanienkehake we are born with the responsibility to protect and defend our people, land, medicine, animals, waters, our little people, everything that we give thanks for in the Ohenton karihwatehka.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am here making a stand to defend and protect our forest from destruction from the geotechnical survey for the feasibility study to possibly build the commercial multi purpose complex.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based on our cultural customs and traditions, we must consult with the people first. The people\u2019s voice needs to be heard on this matter. Our laws say that all the people must come to one mind to decide on issues of this magnitude. I call on all the organizations involved in this issue to go forward using our traditional ways.<\/strong><\/p>\n
