White man says his is a government of the majority. It has also been said that that the majority of the people of the world are fools and that the wise and intelligent are in the minority. This makes the majority government a government of fools. But sez you: The majority of the world is controlled by a minority of oppressive exploiters which makes the majority government actually a minority government, and so it’s a government of both fools and the clever exploiters with the latter running the show. 

The standing army is the arm of the government and trained to protect and defend the system, not the people. The government uses the people, though the army are of the people. The government creates laws designed to defend and protect the government from the people and the police departments are established to enforce the laws, again using some of the people whom they first alienate by indoctrination from the other people in order to put a division into the system. The exploited people are required to pay enormous taxes to pay the costs of these institutions, the government, the standing army and the sitting police departments.

The problem is that the majority government  is not really a government for all the people, but for the super rich who are in control. Since the super rich are in control of the “free world” the solution is for the exploited people to nationalize and internationalize the corporations of the super rich. It may seem like a super trick to unhorse such super bosses who are in control of nations, but to anyone who doesn’t have to do it himself, it’s simple. The exploited merely neutralize the super rich. “How?!!” says the non-indian. First, the wisest and most intelligent of the exploited in each of all the nations will form a people’s national council by which all the people can really execute their will. The people’s national council will be like a government which does not govern nor rule but creates a good path for people to follow. The method of finding the wisest and most intelligent of the exploited is by a series of tests on the study of humanity, justice, finance, political administration, guiding the affairs of state while making the said good path for people to follow, to be passed  by the most able of them and become members of the said people’s national council which will always be accountable to the people in general.

To neutralize the super rich and to nationalize and internationalize their corporations, it is first necessary to put aside the pseudo majority governments for they operate under false pretences and have failed the people miserably. Rather than change the personnel in these obnoxious non-people’s non-majority governments, it is better to remove the system of government entirely. They should not have any objections since it’s for the good of the world. The action of removing a government is called a revolution. Removing all the governments is called a world revolution.

The incidents of bad governments, unbearable taxations, nuclear terror, oppression, persecutions and other abuses will be resolved by dissolving the present governments because of their failure to produce happiness which is the longtime hope of mankind and which is the purpose of government. Not having the capability nor the fitness, the present governments should be substituted by the people’s national council who would have the necessary brains and wisdom to fulfill the obligations. They have proven themselves by passing all the tests. The super rich do not spend their $billions and $trillions paying for the legions of government workers [some of who have nothing to do], the staggering costs of the armed forces and the police departments. Who pays for all this? The exploited. The people who work. The people pay for the protection of the super rich from them. That’s exploitation in the fullest sense of the word. By nationalizing and internationalizing the corporations of the super rich the profits thereof [in the billions and trillions] can be used to pay all national expenses and costs, thereby relieving the people of the burden of horrendous taxation. There should be no need for taxation, so say the economists who also hint that governments make the people pay dearly for having a useless government. 

The governments themselves are governed by Wall Street called “The Wall Street Shark” which has 100 members [1960], each of whom on a poor day makes a million dollars. One colossus in the membership, with portfolios of corporations was making an average of 55 $millions of dollars a day. All the government of the “free world” are under the control of this big money elite. It has been said that the Wall Street Shark regards the rest of humanity as the beast which must be kept weak and bleeding. The super money elite is directly involved in the intolerable nuclear power situation and the arms build up. The profits are enormous which are being used for further nuclear proliferation. At this rate, the white race will be extinct at the same rate of speed as the red race they are actively working to terminate. 

There is no need for an expensive war department. In the Iroquois way, every man is a protector and a defender. Every boy is trained in military strategy. He is instructed in the law and taught to defend the law. One of his duties as a warrior is to stop crime and to arrest law breakers. Every man is a policeman. This is how a government is prevented from victimizing and oppressing the people. The people are the government and they are also the police, every one. There is no alienation of policemen or the army from the people. In the Iroquois system, called the “Warrior Society” by the white man, there is no draft call up, special indoctrination [brainwashing] to turn the draftees into killers and after a war, release them among the people where so many of them commit a lot of crimes. 

Crimes are dealt with by the defenders in training and after their course of training, are always on standby in case of emergencies such as fires, fights, riots, invasions and troubles of all kinds. The Warrior Society also teaches the young whatever is necessary to know, academic subjects besides the art of fighting. All this costs nothing to taxpayers as there are no taxpayers. All of this is defayed by the profits  from the nationalized and internationalized corporations of the super rich. Isn’t this a superior system compared to what is now in use which the general public is forced to pay for?

Mankind at present is under a ominous cloud of destruction and deaths from a cruel disease caused by contamination from a nuclear fallout. The white man’s government in America, north and south, are so intent on making the Indians extinct that they don’t notice they are doing the same thing to their own people. We’ve read of psychopathic killers who are obsessed and cannot stop themselves. The masters of the world are likewise obsessed by their dangerous nuclear toy and cannot stop themselves, even though they may realize they will also be destroyed along with their victims. The millions of innocent and accidental future victims of this world madness are duty bound to protect and defend each other and themselves. It is their duty to stop this threat to their existence and must find ways and means to stop it. This headlong descent to destruction can only be halted by abolishing the present order which is a disorder. It shouldn’t be too hard. There are only 100 members in the big money elite, responsible for this terrible state of affairs. Perform a citizen’s arrest and keep the big money elite under detention and doing some kind of occupation safe for society. Detain their scientists [nuclear and atomic] and keep them engaged in beneficial sciences, not those that would destroy mankind. 

After abolishing the no-good governments, their  economic systems and implementing the above mentioned superior Iroquois type government, the people in general can breathe easier. The nuclear holocaust will be averted. An era of real peace will be experienced by people everywhere. Having achieved a better government and society, the white man’s improved governments in America will be more inclined to render better justice to the Aboriginal people of America. They may relent to the point that they’ll restore the stolen land back to the Indians so the Indians can once again have their own traditional governments, practice their own culture and enjoy their own society. Surely, the immigrants from Europe can see it in their conscience to restore these back to the Indians.

The US and Canada want to pay only 25 cents an acre for land claims awards. They haven’t enough money to pay for the land taken from the Indians. US 3,615,211 square miles at current price of $1,000 an acre equals $2,313,735,040,000. In the trillions! at 25 cents an acre equals $578,433,760.

Is “critical geography” when you have to go on your phone to find out where you are? Recently I stopped a kid on the street to ask him where Hochelaga Street is in Montreal.  He said, “I don’t know!” He pulled out his phone, tapped it a few times and said, “Wow, we are standing right on Hochelaga street”! What would happen to everybody if a foreign power shut off all your phone towers? This is a time when young people are busy looking at their phones instead of interacting with the world.  

This is indigenous land. My message is you all have an obligation to respect our mother earth. 

 

I am now in my 86th year of life, one of the Mohawk Mothers presently in court to find our children who we suspect were taken from us by McGill University and Quebec government institutions for scientific experimental purposes, who died and may be buried on the grounds of McGill University in Montreal. We know thousands of our children were kidnapped and murdered and are being found buried in the grounds of other Canadian government “educational” institutions known as Indian Residential Schools across all of turtle island! 

We are objecting and making public the inhuman way we’ve been treated by the laws and courts of Canada which still allows the genocide  and termination of us or to assimilate withe white people. Our children were kidnapped from birth and we were made “wards of the state” without our knowledge or consent. Canada continues its extortion of our Indian Trust Funds to control us, our land and resources. Would you let the military take you from your home to live in a POW death camp called a reservation?

We had a condolence ceremony at McGill asking our dead children to help us find them by giving us some clues where their bodies were buried because we sense they want us to find them. These are the indigenous children that the state and church murdered and secretly disposed of. Also currently our earth mother is being grossly raped and sodomized by those who illegally occupy her. As survivors of your genocide policies which are still in effect we are also currently fighting for our traditional self determination and our language. The Indian Act which outlines the genocide protocol and the Indian Lands Acts of 1924 allow the military to move us to their death camps called reserves. We want everything that belongs to us. They may take only what they came with. Creation has placed us here and we intend to carry out our duties as creation intended. We refuse to be valued according to their foreign financial system. The Canadian free market system puts a financial value on everything, which doesn’t belong to them and which their politicians are fighting over today, yelling about our illegally occupied land and theft of our resources. 

Turtle island will always be in our care. We will continue to try to bring our responsibilities to your attention and we all ask you to work with us. The invaders have to stop fighting over and raping our earth mother. 

Creation put onowarekeh turtle island in our care and never meant for strangers to come and become rich and choose an immoral path to illegally get our land. We are  constantly lied to, especially what was done to us since the arrival of the invaders. The history about the planned genocide and theft of all our possessions are now well known worldwide. This is not a democratic country though the church and state call Canada a “democracy”! The murder and destruction of our land continues. The economy may now be bringing you its uncertainty called “karma.”

Creation placed us on turtle island to care for her. The intruders arrived with their plan in hand to illegally and unethically remove us from our mother so they could rape her. The genocide of most of our people followed. Some of us survived because of our adherence to the great peace, kaianerekowa, which they tried to destroy because they wanted war and to exploit and become emperors of the globe. Canada is not a legitimate country. It is a colony, with a corporate culture with two foreign languages, no land, while trying to destroy hundreds of original languages that we use to communicate with our mother. No one can legally buy our mother and she cannot be transferred to anyone and never has been legally. It will always be kaianerekowa territory under the great peace. Our way is that no one starves, no one is exploited, war is outlawed, we are all equal and free. Since the arrival of the intruders every politician has our blood on their hands. This is not what we want. 

Welcome to the empire of capitalism. It is right in your face. The bankers are the black serpents of our stories who are going everywhere on earth to see who is their next victim. In Canada it is the same bloodline of the original Europeans who came to the thirteen colonies. If you vote for Mark Carney for Prime Minister of Canada you are voting for the status quo. Carney is related to the Sinclair family that Justin Trudeau comes from. The original 13 families are now the bankers of Canada and the United States. They don’t own turtle island the land they call North America. These bankers implemented the 51% majority rule at the beginning of the American experience in Albany in 1784 which they falsely call a democracy. Their constitution was not as we showed them. The Lower Castle and Upper Castle Mohawks left Albany our ancient homeland in New York and moved by canoe to Kanteke and Kahnawake, We promised we will return with the peace.

The American plan is the government creates chaos and when the people demand a solution, which is the reason the government created the problem in the first place, then they implement the plan they wanted to all along.  Both Canada and US are not sovereign. They are corporations privately owned by the shareholders of the banks.

They report to the deep state. The Vatican bankers in the city of London created the NY stock exchange as their private enterprise and controls the economies of the western empire. To keep everybody on their toes they create war to put an illusion of fighting between each other when they are actually working together. They create and finance every war. You have been divided into very rich and very poor. Not even a middle class. Thousands have been laid off to make it look like both US and Canadian economies are being destroyed to enslave the people to the dollar. Or are they waiting to be part of the 51st state?

This corporate system was introduced in 1784 in Albany to try to build a true democracy which was supposed to be based on the teiohateh and kaianerekows and consensual decision making where all have a voice and are equal. They will never have peace with their 51% majority rules system where 49% have no voice.

Ironically the US want to symbolically make Canada the 51st state. The one vote difference can control a two party system. Yes the 13 bloodlines from Europe set this up on turtle island. Canada is still a colonial corporate entity, not a country, owned by the Crown, which is the first corporation of the Vatican. You even swear allegiance to the crown corporation and all their heirs, who are shareholders. You are subjects. Not citizens.

Mark Carney the banker and Justin Trudeau are from the Sinclair bloodline. In Canada they own 5 banks and all the corporate municipalities through the banks. if you vote for Carney you are voting for the status quo. The bankers own every bank, stock market and control every war, to make it look like they are fighting against each other. 

We say you must build a complete democracy or never know peace.

When the intruders first came to turtle island they thought they were in the promised land like in the bible. This is your “disaster day”. These invaders believe there are no consequences. They brought rules here to live by called the 10 commandments. They agreed to follow the  kaianerekiwa, which they violated. We would like to know why did they think that it was right to murder us and then pretend it never happened, all in the name of their god?  

These boundaries here and everywhere in the world are not made by man but made by creation. So why is everybody fighting for things that don’t belong to them?

Also there is no record of the attempted kidnapping of my first child at  her birth at the Royal Victoria Hospital of McGill University. Also there was a death certificate put in my Equafax Toronto Dominion Bank credit records that I had died on September 12, 1991 so I could not get a mortgage to build a house.

FINALLY, OUR CONCERNS FOR TRUTH

These are the genocide laws. The British North American Act which underlies the so-called Constitution which safeguards you,  your provinces and municipalities from us, gives you constant access to our land and resources. We do not have the same access to health care, education, social services, energy, which Canadians expect though we have total title and stewardship of turtle island. When the military came to take us to the death camps/reserves, many ran away to protect themselves and were blocked from recognition as original people by the intruders. Some of the underlying laws of genocide are the British North America Act, the Indian Act and the Indian Lands Acts to completely control every aspect of our life as illegal wards of the corporate state to this day and to take control of our Indian Trust Funds which was put into your Consolidated Revenue Funds without our permission. The Indian lands Acts forcefully removed us by military might to reserve lands set aside until they were to become  municipalities which will then be owned by the banks to build Canada entirely from our land with our trust funds over our dead bodies.  Meaning it is vested in the indigenous people only by creation. They have no business occcupying it or buying and selling it.

DESKAHE 1923

MNN. Sep. 27, 2024. October 25, 2024, will be the “100 year” anniversary of Duncan Campbell Scott’s Proclomation that his Indian Advancement Acts would be the 100 year plan to be rid of the “Indian problem”. The plan was spelled out in the “Indian Lands Acts “of October 25, 1924” that created all of the indian reservations in the colony of Canada, the imposition of blood quantum legislation, the residential school death camps, etc…  which was recently removed from CAID.Ca.

In 1923 DESKAHE Levi General of the Grande River at Six Nations was sent to the original convention to form the League of Nations in Hague. It was to be the highest world body for peace in the world at the time, the precursor to the United Nations. Deskahe was sent by the Haudenosaunee’onwe to bring the Iroquois Confederacy into the League of Nations as the world’s first and oldest democatic confederacy on the planet. 

The Iroquois were sponsored by 16 plus countries worldwide. Canada was not invited as they were a colony. Canada’s response was brutal and swift. They pulled out the colonial dagger. Deskahe was never allowed to return to Canada and was murdered in 1925 in Tuscarora near Niagara Falls by the assassins of Canada. His body has never allowed to be returned to his home at Grande River.

MNN. Aug. 8, 2024. On August 2nd, 3rd. and 4th, 2024, The Kahnawake Hunters faced the Elora Ontario Mohawks, a non-native team of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League at the championship finals. The non-native parents and fans showed the spectators  their method for beating their opponents, the real kanienkehaka/Mohawks at that game.  The appeared t be using a formula of acting out some of their culture with rude behaviour. Lacrosse is a traditional game of the natives who follow strict sportsmanlike behaviour.  This kind of behaviour would not be acceptable at their ultimate sport event, the Olympics, which is presently taking place right now in Paris?

At  some recent games some of the settler mothers waited outside of the arena and yelled at and spit on the faces of our children. Definitely not acceptable.

One spectator from Kahnawake stated in a facebook post, “I came to Elora to watch the Kahnawake Hunters and I was genuinely shocked by how the crowd was behaving. I started recording their chants ’cause i also thought it was funny that these white kids lacrosse team was called “Mohawks”. They sure weren’t acting like their namesake, the Mohawks. I got yelled at by one kid, “Turn your fucking phone off!” Personally, I think they were just embarrassed by their terrible actions.” If they call themselves Mohawks they should play the game like true Mohawks, the kanienkehaka, as it is a community game of respect and healing, to bring everyone together with the good message that here on this planet we are all brothers and sisters with the same mother and the same father. TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THEIR ACTIONS at a game we call “the game of creation“.

MNN. June 30, 2024. McGill is in the trenches with the robots! The state did not want indigenous around so they experimented on them to create the genocide plan sanctioned by Colonial law. The politicians and scientists who set up the “sleep room” at the Allan Memorial Institute during the 1940s to 1970’s “took orders” from those who own McGill and are trying to destroy creation. People now listen seriously to the debate of two top US robots who are vying to ‘run’ the world. Militaries are now creating robotic armies to fight each other. Allegedly a California designed robotic office worker committed suicide by throwing itself down a flight of stairs landing in pieces. McGill actually has “war labs” creating these weapons for their clients to murder people. The enlistment rate has declined drastically. The police use robots to attack people in their homes. Robots are not paid and so far have no drug or sex problems.  A robot is programmed to not deal with back stabbing, fork tongued murderers. A robot feels no pity, remorse, or fear. They don’t stop until their target is dead, or their battery dies. As Lakota activist Russell Means said to Congress, “Welcome to the reservation. You are now the new Indians!”

The colonists took up residence, and stole the land, forests, waters, resources from the natural people placed here by kasastensera kowa saoiera, creation.  What they are doing to us is not fair, just or reasonable. They know we can never give up our mother earth. The kanienkehaka of akwesasne are carrying out their duties according to the kaianerekowa, the great peace.

Contextualizing the Re-occupation of Barnhart Island in Shared Legacies of Struggle

On May 21, 2024, a group of eight Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) community members from Akwesasne were arrested at Niionenhiasekowa:ne (Barnhart Island). Certain individuals among the “Akwesasne 8” had originally gone to Barnhart to exercise their right to build a hunting and gathering shelter on their own territory, in part to protest an ongoing land claim settlement that threatens to hand over Kanien’kehá:ka title to this island, among other traditionally held territories, to New York State. The settlement is being negotiated between New York entities and three Akwesasne government councils.1 Presently, the settlement negotiations would require the extinguishment of Mohawk title to Barnhart Island, which would be effectuated through an act of Congress.2 By asserting their right to the land, the Akwesasne 8 have sent a clear message to both negotiating parties. Barnhart Island, like all other territories illegally stolen and swindled from their community, is not for sale—particularly not by collaborationist band and tribal council entities that purport to represent the full community but that were in fact historically imposed upon it at gunpoint.

On May 9, 2024, the Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ) issued a press release announcing that construction work for a new warehouse in Montreal’s east end will soon resume after the completion of an archaeological inventory performed by the firm it hired, Arkéos. In January 2024, the Kanien’keha:ka Kahnistensera (Mohawk Mothers), in tandem with the Comité des Orphelins et Orphelines Institutionalisé des Duplessis, had reached out to the SAQ to ask for measures to protect human remains on a site where the SAQ wants to build a new automated warehouse for wine, beer and spirits.

The grounds upon which this development project is situated have a tragic history. It was used as a mass grave where the unclaimed bodies of thousands of patients of the St-Jean-de-Dieu psychiatric hospital were fed to the pigs called “the cemetery of the ill” or “the pigsty cemetery”. Indigenous patients were present in addition to Duplessis Orphans, who are largely Quebecois children born out of wedlock or from low-income families that were sent to asylums and orphanages. They were abused after being incorrectly re-categorized as intellectually disabled by Prime Minister Maurice Duplessis. They were kept in forced labour, denied education rights, sexually abused and experimented upon. The Sisters of Providence, who ran St-Jean-de-Dieu, said they exhumed the entire cemetery in 1967. But many additional bodies were found after the SAQ bought the land and started to build a warehouse, in 1975. After further construction in 1999, bones were reportedly found that were never confirmed to be non-human.

Since last January, the Kanien’keha:ka Kahnistensera [Mohawk Mothers] and the Duplessis Orphans have met with SAQ representatives to discuss a respectful and thorough search for human remains before any construction work begins. On April 10, 2024, all parties agreed that an archeological inventory would be gathered using the SAQ’s contractor Arkéos provided that the Canadian Archaeological Association’s Working Group on Unmarked Graves (CAAWGUG) would peer-review the reports and provide additional recommendations before the construction begins. A traditional Mohawk condolence ceremony was conducted and then Arkéos’ inventory began.

The SAQ received the CAAWGUG recommendations on May 9, 2024, just after the SAQ announced they would be continuing construction beginning next week, following the completion of Arkéos’ preliminary archaeological report. As the leading national body of experts formed to address the need for research into the mass genocide of Indigenous people at sites like residential schools, the CAAWGUG recommended the use of Historic Human Remains Detection Dogs (HHRDD), and to identify any human bones found by Arkéos on the site. So far nearly half have not yet been determined as human or animal. The CAAWGUG recommended further investigation using archaeological techniques based on their expertise in finding and identifying unmarked graves and burials to be conducted before any development commences. 

In light of the CAAWGUG’s recommendations and according to our agreement with the SAQ, that there will be further discussions before development continues as announced in its press release. We all want to rely on expertise and best practices. We expect to continue the cooperative and respectful spirit of previous discussions. As the CAAWGUG stated, continuing the development without further investigation would risk disturbing and potentially destroying the graves of the most vulnerable of our society. They died of maltreatment while survivors were retraumatized in one of the darkest chapters of our history. Such a decision would be unprecedented in our discussions with the SAQ thus far regarding a respectful and thorough investigation. We would not meet with anyone intent on disturbing the graves of the dead for the sake of commercial development. We are committed to a respectful dialogue and to implementing the advice of the best experts to respect and honor the survivors and the memory of the victims of these atrocities.

PALESTINIAN-MOHAWK SOLITARITY

“Tekaianewà:konke’: Mohawk-Palestinian Solidarity at the McGill University Encampment Shé:kon sewakwé:kon. Karonhia’nó:ron ióntiats. Kanehsatà:ke nitewaké:non tánon wakeniáhton. I introduce myself to you in my language, Kanien’kéha, the language of this land, my mother, which so many of you call home today. My name is Karonhia’nó:ron, my family is from Kanehsatà:ke and I belong to the Turtle Clan.

I’ve just returned from Saskatchewan, where I attended a meeting for Indigenous archaeologists who are working to protect unmarked graves of Indigenous children across Turtle Island. What I bring back with me is a reminder of the importance of nurturing community and political alliances across Indigenous nations. That is why I wanted to be here with you today. I want to make it clear that what I share with you today is shared on my own initiative. I feel very strongly that it is my duty to use the voice I was given to speak the truth, to bring people together, and to call out any injustice that I see happening before me. I echo the support that has been voiced by my cousin Ellen Gabriel, as well as by the Kanien’kehá:ka Kahnisténsera.

It is my understanding that Onkwehonweh have stood in solidarity with the people of Palestine for some time now. We have been learning from each other about how to survive, resist, rebuild, and reharmonize for ages. This is because our struggles are one and the same. As my elder and mentor Kahentinétha Horn wrote nearly a decade ago, “the Zionist butchers massacring Palestinians in Gaza are the same interests that carried out the genocide of 150 million Indigenous people in the Western hemisphere” (Mohawk Nation News 2014).

Know that you are allowed to be here, and we are with you. That McGill University refuses to acknowledge its complicity in, let alone divest from, the genocidal project that maintains the existence of the Israeli state at the expense of the lives of thousands upon thousands of Palestinians unfortunately comes as no surprise to me. As some of you may know, I have been involved in the search for unmarked graves at the site of the Old Royal Victoria Hospital and the Allan Memorial Institute since the summer of 2022. I have seen nothing except the very same violent, denialist narratives being deployed against my people. I have seen the authority of the Kahnisténsera as the caretakers of this land disrespected, repeatedly; I have seen empirical evidence of human remains dismissed, repeatedly; I have seen the lives of my Ancestors and their belonging to this land erased, repeatedly. University administrators have made it very clear that their goal is to ensure that no evidence of unmarked graves are ever found so that they can plow forward with the expansion of their campus.

All the while, they continue to make enunciated commitments to “listen” to Indigenous peoples and pursue reconciliation. This university has spent millions of dollars fighting the Kahnisténsera in court. This battle has been going on for years, and continues to this day. I’m sure all of you here are aware that your tuition moneys are being used to fund the massacre of Palestinians. But did you know that this last December, Provost Christopher Manfredi stated in a university-wide notice that your tuition fees are also being used to support McGill’s efforts to deny the sovereignty of the Mohawk people and the right of the Kahnisténsera to protect the earth and all of her children, past, present and future? (see “Update on the New Vic Project and clarification of salient facts”).

I want to make something very clear: McGill has been illegally occupying Mohawk territory for over 250 years. This institution exists thanks to the theft of moneys meant to be held in trust by the Crown Corporation of Canada on behalf of the Rotinonshón:ni. As such, President Deep Saini’s repeated insistence on McGill’s supreme authority over what can and cannot occur on so-called “campus property” is not only repugnant, but based in a complete lack of understanding– perhaps even a willful ignorance– of the brutal history of this institution. The way of this land is the Kaianereh’kó:wa, and all foreigners are subject to the stipulations of the Teiohate or Two Row wampum. As an invader, McGill University is in violation of both of these. Worst of all, by committing themselves to actively participating in the genocide of Indigenous peoples here and in Palestine, McGill administrators are desecrating the kasahsténsera’kó:wa saoié:ra– that is, the great natural power of creation, and of life on earth. As such, this university and its beloved investors must account for the Indigenous children whose lives they have destroyed by immediately divesting from any and all interests implicated in the genocide of the Palestinian peoples and Kanien’kehà:ka.

Remember that while you are fighting against powers with an affinity for violence and death, you are also fighting for the continuation of natural life. Remember that you are not alone, that you are carrying on the legacy of all of those who came before you, and that you are taking up this struggle in hopes that the children who come after you will know only peace, freedom, and happiness.

To my loved ones who call Palestine their home, know that it is creation that placed you there; that your life is precious, and your bond with Mother Earth is sacred. I wish to leave with you a gift which has framed my understanding of solidarity for quite some time. The closest equivalent to “partnership” or “collaboration” in Kanien’kéha is the word tekaianewà:konke’. It describes the concept of two people walking upon the same path together, and who hold each other accountable to stay on that path. It is my understanding that so many different peoples have come to support the encampment. I’m sure you all have different ideas for how things should be conducted, or how your goals should be pursued. At the end of the day, we each have our own hearts and minds. But you must stay together on this path.

For me, it is the children who keep me in line, who remind me of the horizon we are walking towards together. Do not let anyone corrupt your soul with anxiety, fear, or a lust for power. To reiterate the words of my cousin Ellen: WE ARE ALL PALESTINIAN. Nià:wen’kó:wa, thank you. I lay my medicines down for you and send the strength and resilience of my ancestors your way.
