We feel the time has come to republish this important letter delivered to our Iranian allies in 2012.

Iran always supported human rights of the Indigenous people of Great Turtle Island.  When Terrance Nelson of Manitoba informed us that he was going to Iran to speak about the continued genocide of our people, he took the following letter.  Iran supported the Iroquois Confederacy application for a seat in the League of Nations in 1923.

TO THE PEOPLE OF IRAN:

She:kon,

You always supported our human rights efforts, especially in 1923. Briefly, the Iroquois Confederacy sent Levi General, the Deskaheh, to get recognition for our people at the League of Nations.  He came from Grand River [Ontario].  

With a Haudenosaunee passport, he went to Geneva, Switzerland to speak at the League of Nations in 1923.  There he presented “The Red Man’s Appeal for Justice,” and reminded the Europeans of their obligations under the Guswentha, Two Row Wampum. This pact was made in 1701 between the 48 Indigenous Nations and our allies of Onowaregeh/Great Turtle Island with the Europeans. It is the only agreement giving foreigners the right to live on our land.  They violated it and their occupation is illegal. 

Iran supported our effort.  British, American and Canadian pressure was too strong for Deskaheh to continue.  He returned home.

On October 7 1924 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigated him. Then they dissolved the traditional Six Nations government, stole important documents and wampums, created the Indian Advancement Act and the reservations.  The Canadian government declared an immediate election to displace the traditional government. Deskaheh was forbidden to return to his home and family.  He was murdered in Tuscarora New York after giving his famous last speech on the radio on March 10, 1925, against the United States and Canada’s policies of genocide.  

“In Ottawa, they call that policy “Indian Advancement”. In Washington, they call it “Assimilation.” We say it is outright tyranny. If this must go on, we would rather that you come with your guns and poison gases and get rid of us that way. Do it openly and above board.”

Historically, Iranians have been champions of justice.  We remember you for your goodness, good minds and for always looking out for us.  Nia:wen, Kahentinetha, Woman Title Holder, Bear Clan, Kanionkehaka/Mohawk Nation”.

Terrance was interviewed on Iran TV.  He spoke about the continued genocide of our people that Canada is built upon, particularly about the theft of our natural resources and the targeting of our women.   The police are not investigating this.   Their goal has always been, “kill the Indian”.

The squatters sing it and mark everything they stole with the word “Canada”, which means nothing is theirs.  ‘Canada’ always conceded that they are ‘squatters’. They named themselves and everything “canada”, “canadians” or “canadien”. The corporation of the government of Canada [the squatters], the Montreal Canadians [squatters] hockey team, and millions of other things. They in effect admit they own nothing on onowarekeh [the Western Hemisphere]. Everything belongs to the onkwehonweh [the true original people placed here by creation].

GUESS WHAT! CANADIANS ARE “GA NA JON”

MNN. OCT. 18, 2019. Have we got an international revelation for you about Canada! Finally the invaders will learn where the words “Canadian” and “Canadien” come from.

Some historic background first. Each of our communities had three or more settlements. We would move to another location so our land could rebirth to its natural condition. Eventually we would return to the original village.

wahatinatsoton. To rebuild our community, we bend the poles and bind them to make beams to hold up our roofs. wasenatsoton. kanata comes from kanatsoteh which means it is ‘imbedded’ in our land. We connected the side poles to the others and used cross members so they would stand firmly. Then the outer skin was put on.

wahetiskwaron. The invaders were called kanakonronen. Without permission they ‘imbedded’ themselves in our homeland. They did not intend to leave. They put the poles deep into the native ground. We called them ”kanatien” [pronounced ga na jon] the “squatters”. Now they call themselves Canadian and Canadien, from “canatienton”.

When the invaders say, “I am Canadian” or Canadien”, they are saying “I am a squatter on kanastoteh”. Be careful of the words you use. Know where they come from and what they means. Canadians have a problem defining who they are.  And now we’re telling them. They’ve been using the word long enough. It is time we told them what it means. 

Natives should be excused from singing “O Canada”. Here’s a suggested replacement that everybody knows! Hockey is a rotinoshonni [Iroquois] game. It comes from the Mohawk expression, “ahkee”. Stompin’ Tom Connors sings: “Hello, out there, we’re on the air, it’s hockey night tonight. Tension grows, the whistle blows, and the puck drops down the ice. The goalie jumps, the players bump, and the fans all go insane. Someone roars “Bobby scores!”, at the good old hockey game. Oh, the good old hockey game is the best game you can name. And the best game you can name is the good old hockey game.”

FROM POPPIES TO HEROIN

MNN. 13, 2019. Protect the poppies says Don Cherry, the loud mouthpiece for “Hockey Night in Canada”.  Heroin is made from poppies. Wearing the poppy means you celebrate, glorify and want more war and drugs. This UK tradition started after World War I. The bankers will not stay wealthy from peace. 

Don Cherry, a European immigrant, scolds everybody, in effect, for not supporting the war, “You have benefitted from the genocide of the Indians here”. Many told him to shit in his hat. The bankers sent the youth to die for them on Flanders Field. Their families got nothing but heartaches and headaches. Poppies being made into heroin is to addict the world for more war. The bankers get rich through war! 

Just because the invaders militarily occupied turtle island and claim it as their own, doesn’t mean it is their property. There is no statute of limitations on theft and murder. 

Every war is a banker’s war. The invaders to turtle island are rich because they murdered almost all of the natives. We are heroes because we defended all life on onowarekeh turtle island against the barbaric invaders. 

ateriwanensken. Less settlers are enlisting to go murder people in far off lands. The illegal settlers came to our community in trucks to kidnap our youth to be trained to become blood thirsty killers for them. enswateninikonwaseroni. The invaders constantly work at twisting the minds of our men to think, “I wanna be a soldier!” to help them kill anyone who gets in the way of the bankers.

Today they train through mind control their attack dogs known as the “band council” to continue the slaughter of their own people so we will be dead and gone, out of the way. They are not mindful of the disastrous deeds. A psychopath is unempathetic and has no remorse. They don’t take any blame for their unconscionable behavior. 

We will rejoin our peace, our earth and all our relations. 

All politicians and their pawns are icons for hire who divert us from seeing the ther plan to totally annihilate us. Cynics and Critics get it: “If you’re happy and you know it, then there might be something wrong with you. What’s the point in holding on, when all of us don’t want you to. It’d make us feel better, knowing you’d be stuck forever. Sick minds stick together, we can stay sick forever”. [Icon for hire]

The attack of unarmed men, women and children kanionkehaka [Mohawks} was in the early hours of July 11, 1990 in the pines of kanehsatake. It was one of many ongoing military attacks on Indigenous people for our land and resources and to continue the genocide:

MNN. Mar. 28, 2013.  Each Indigenous has an equal share of the ever-growing $50.3 trillion Indian Trust Fund being administered by the illegal trustee, the Corporation of Canada, through the Department of Indian Affairs, 10 Wellington Street, Ottawa/Hull. It is the accumulated wealth from the exploitation of our natural resources. We demand our fund. Should they refuse to turn it over to us, we will seize our assets and foreclose on the law-breaking trustee.

They have to pay for their genocide and they know it. Sorry isn’t good enough. 

Canada is spending our fund without our knowledge or consent. They use it as collateral for payment of the corporation’s debts, to raise money on the stock exchange and to bolster the Canadian banking system. 

The Indigenous People will recover our Indian Trust Fund that was set up under Section 109 of the British North America in 1867. The same year the Corporation of Canada passed the illegal “persons” law that “a person is anyone other than an Indian” so they could become the trustees of our fund.  

All parties have been put on notice by registered mail sent to Prime Minister Harper by a Mohawk woman elder, demanding her share of the Indian Trust Fund. 

The trustee has defaulted. The entire fund shall be returned, along with any amount spent or loaned, plus all the interest. The Corporation of Canada will be dissolved to liquidate its debt to us that they cannot pay. 

Not with our ever growing Indian Trust Fund.

We will foreclose on all the banks and shareholders of the Corporation of Canada who are guilty of selling our land and resources to accumulate this fund. Should there not be enough funds to cover the principle amount owed, the accrued interest and fees, all federal property throughout Canada will be seized by the Indigenous beneficiaries of the trust.   

To begin the process, we can convene a meeting of our People of our communities and notify Canada to return our fund. Should they not respond, we will begin the foreclosure procedures and seize all the assets of the corporation. 

Don't come back, you hear!

All Canadians have benefited from the proceeds of our funds. To begin the reconciliation- repayment process, they will have to assist us. Should they wish to stay here, they must polish the chain, wipe the dust off of their own memories and start living according to the principles of the original Two Row Wampum agreement. Once a nation accepts the Peace they are obligated to spread it, to the world.

As Robert Plant sang: Hang man, hang man. Upon your face a smile. Pray tell me that I’m free to ride, ride for many a mile. Your brother brought me silver. You sister warmed my soul. But now I laugh and pull so hard, I see you swinging on the gallows pole.”
