MNN. Nov. 5, 2016. The story below* about the Lakota Nations was posted on December 25, 2007. They continue to set a precedent for all onkwe’hon:weh and all people to take the necessary steps so that all life shall survive according to creation’s original instructions. Otherwise we will become extinct.

REPRINT: December 25, 2007
MNN “Lakota Nation” confirmed – precedent for others?
FAR BEHIND?  [Story of the year]
MNN.  Dec. 25, 2007.  The times, they are achangin’.  Go to the website.  There you’ll see Canupa Gluha
Mani of the Strong Heart Warrior Society of the Lakota Nation cutting
up his colonial driver’s license.   He’s doing this because on December
17th 2007 the Lakota delivered their “Declaration of Continuing
Independence ”, just in time for the Winter Solstice.
The history of Lakota with the U.S. is long, complex and tragic.  They
knew something had to change.  After the Wounded Knee Occupation
of 1973, the International Indian Treaty Council was established.  From
June 8 to 16 1974 the Council called for a “ Western Hemisphere ”
Conference at Standing Rock Sioux.  Over 5000 delegates of 97
Indigenous Peoples from the Americas gathered.  The “manifesto”
that was created on that occasion supports the rights of all Indigenous
Peoples to live free and take whatever actions are necessary to uphold
our sovereignty.
It is rumored that President of Russia , Vladimir Putin, a powerful world
leader, said today that he is considering recognizing the Lakota as an i
ndependent nation.  Withdrawing from the treaties is entirely legal.  It is
within the laws on treaties passed at the Vienna Convention and put
into effect by the U.S. and the rest of the international community in 1980.
The Lakota never relinquished their lands and have always refused
to accept payment estimated close to $1 billion to give up their
sovereignty and nationhood.   Offering to buy us out means they are
acknowledging our sovereignty.
They declared the obvious.  The lands belong to the various Indigenous
peoples and are clearly defined by the treaties.  Where there are no
treaties, the U.S. and Canada are squatters.  Plain and simple!  The
indigenous people have the same rights under international law as
anyone else, whether a country chooses to acknowledge it or not,
as in South Africa .  Our vast tracts of land, which have been cared
for by our ancestors, continue to be ours despite the delusional
fraudulent claims of the colonizing states.
Treaties concluded through bribery and with colonial puppets,
instead of with valid representatives of our people, are not legal.
It should be borne in mind that most, not all, of the treaties ever
made with the colonizers granted them only very limited rights
that fall far short of the greedy advantages they imagined.  They
had no intention of ever living up to any treaty.  They were hell
bent on stealing everything.  The U.S. and Canada came as
profiteers and fraudulently tried to steal all our assets.
Such documents were concocted in clear violation of international
law then and now. This requires the informed consent of the people
concerned.  No state can incorporate another unless a clear majority
of the people has expressed consent through fairly conducted
democratic processes based on a clear question.
The Six Nations Confederacy and the Algonquins are the title
holders of most of the eastern half of what is known as the colonies
of Canada and northeastern U.S.   Our Indigenous laws prohibit
alienation of our lands.  We hold them as trustees for the coming
unborn generations.  We refuse to surrender our lands.  The
implementation of the Indian Act and federal Indian law is genocidal.
According to article VI of the U.S. Constitution, treaties represent the
Supreme Law of the Land binding each party to an inviolable
international relationship.  Those without treaties with the colonists
hold their lands independent and free.  The only legal authority is
Indigenous.  Article II sets out the primary nation-to-nation relationship.
In Canada Section 109 of the British North America Act 1867 respects
the primary authority of the Indigenous peoples.
The U.S. and Canada have violated the independent Indigenous
Peoples by “clerical” action, edicts and pronouncements violating
our international treaty rights and authority.
The Lakota declaration of withdrawal from the Treaty of Laramie 1868
is vested in the power of the Lakota people and the children.  One
individual does not represent the nation.  The nation represents the
individual.  The withdrawal is for the people, elders, mothers, fathers
and children including the unborn faces beneath the ground.
The Treaty of Laramie was never honored.  It’s been a colonial
catastrophe, which was not its intent on our part.  Indigenous children
are still being taken away putting them out of balance from learning
the traditional life ways.  The true way is to be free and left to govern
and look after our own with the teachings of the animal nations.  This
is about the Lakota Nation and the Animal People who are no longer
here.  “We are the Lakota Nation of Nebraska , North Dakota , South Dakota ,
Wyoming and Montana ”.  We are alerting the Family of Nations of our
action with the backing of Indigenous, international and U.S. law.
Should all Indigenous nations of Onowaregeh, Turtle Island , assert our
freedom and independence, what would happen?  The action of the
“Lakota” is going to have repercussions far and wide.
The colonists would go out of business, especially the oligarchs.  They
would have to work out agreements with all the Indigenous people on
whose land they are squatting.  Indigenous “liens” on buildings,
development, resource extraction and all activities on our land will have
to be governed and executed by us.  Each Indigenous nation will assert
our power over our lands, assets and resources.  The colonies of U.S.
and Canada will just have to become law abiding.  They will have to learn
to respect indigenous and international law.  This will not bring a
catastrophe for the ordinary people living on our land.  They just have to
come to terms with the reality that they are living within our jurisdiction,
that they are visitors on our land and that they are required to follow our
The pointlessness of their former reliance on their handpicked “Indian”
puppets set up by the colonial Indian Act band councils and federal
Indian law tribal councils will become obvious.  These sell-outs will have
to live amongst their relatives without colonial power and support.
Whisky, money and guns will lose their mystical attraction.
The Lakota call upon the world to support this struggle for sovereignty
and treaty rights.  They pledge their assistance to all sovereign people
who seek their independence.
The Lakota have invited those living on their lands to join them.  Lakota
will issue permits to them, passports, driver’s licenses and other
documents.  Living there would be tax free providing the residents
renounce their U.S. citizenship.
The Lakotah are to open negotiations with the State Department of the
U.S. government to establish diplomatic relations.  They are setting up
offices in Washington and New York City .
Are we going to see the other nations of Turtle Island asserting
sovereignty?  Don’t let those “dirty rotten lawyers” meddle or intervene.
They’re not the ones who decide what the law is.  The law belongs to the
people.  As our ancestors told us, “One nation will take the issue so far.
Then another will take it further.  Until we all regain everything that is ours”.
So who’s next?  MNN Editor.

MNN. Nov. 4, 2016. Toxic pipelines are not needed. The bankers and oil barons want to show us they’re the bosses. We have every right to decide how and who shall pass on our land.fp0430_northamericapipelines940

The deadly Bakken crude and other poisons cannot traverse kaia’nere:kowa territory! Our friends and allies must now stand with us. As John Kennedy said: “Those who shrink from controversy are complicit with it”.

The corporation has no right to our land or resources, below, on or above the ground. They enjoy seeing their mercs humiliate, spray us in the face with mace and tear gas, shoot us with rubber bullets, hit us with clubs, jail and threaten to kill us and the environment. Chemical and biological warfare violates the Geneva Convention, the UN Convention on Genocide and international law.

Creation looks after all of us everywhere in the world. The corporate matrix falls when the cops and construction workers quit and either leave or join the people to protect our mother. Nobody wants that pipeline no matter what deals are made between the corpo band/tribal councils and the bankers/government/politicians.

The oil and poisons come from North and South Dakota by pipeline or rail directly to our kanion’ke:haka/Mohawk communities.

Our original instructions from creation fuels our instinct to survive. We try to share this power with our friends and allies. The ohenton kariwa tekwen spells out our duties to nature. thanksgiving-the-waters

These gas lines, bridges, rails, highways, seaways, communications networks and everything that runs through our communities and throughout ono’ware:keh are threats to our people and our way of life.

As Little Walter spells it out: “No kidding, I’m ready to fight. I’ve been looking for my baby all night. If I get her in my sight, boom boom, out go the lights”.

Daily pipeline incidents Nov. 3, 2016.

The people see the link between the CP train that commutes through Kahnawake and their origins from Standing Rock. They transport Bakken crude oil from North and South Dakota; 85% of the metal “black serpent” that slithers the land, carrying this poison, cannot safely carry heavy crude oil. Billions of gallons of this explosive material is being transported throughout great turtle island by fragile tankers on a daily basis, putting families at risk.

The railroad traverses residential areas at Kahnawake and throughout great turtle island. The kanien’ke:haka fear a Lac Megantic disaster similar to the explosion on July 6, 2013. It erupted after passing through kahnawake. Lac Megantic July 6, 2013, blast. The blast killed 47 people and injured civilians. This time bomb is preventable. Many alternatives are available. We demand safe alternatives by the oil corporations. MNN Editor.

MNN. Nov. 2, 2016. President Obama said of the tense situation at Standing Rock, “We’re going to let it play out for several more weeks and then determine whether or not this can be resolved in a way that I think is properly attentive to the traditions of the first Americans”. images-6

“Playing” with us, the coming severe winter weather, the people who will have to keep warm in the harsh cold, and at the right time send in the construction team to finish the pipeline. Once the ground starts freezing it’s hard to keep digging.

The unist’oten clan of the wetsu’suwet’en nation of far northern Brtitish Columbia on the Maurice River were given the same challenge to give up their homeland. They have been blocking 13 pipelines since 2009.

They stayed. They built where the pipelines were to be placed their permanent homes with wood stoves, solar power, electricity, four or more buildings, including a traditional pit house. They are occupying their land, with a permanent growing community.

Watch “Holding their ground”. Stop the pipeline.

MNN. Feb. 5, 2009. U.S. President Obama says he’s going to stimulate the Americans’ economy to stop its dive to oblivion. They’re looking to him for “obasms” because they don’t know how to save summer’s abundance to get them through the winter. No matter how hard he tries, nothings coming up! Like drug addicts hooked on dope, they want another fix. They think they can’t survive without it.Obama is facing a formidable government bureaucracy that’s controlled by a few “banksters” [bankers and gangsters]. The hierarchical system has jobs for the chosen few arranged in a pyramidal chain of command that is imbedded in every private and public financial, educational, political, economic, trade, military, pharmaceutical and social institution. Far from being “public servants” they’re on the take and basically never do anything useful for anyone. They grab as much money and benefits as possible and do almost no work. In fact, the less they do, the more likely they are to be promoted. At Indian Affairs offices in Ottawa, their desks are shiny and their feet are sitting on top of them. In the meantime the people they are supposed to serve are living in forced squalor. We’ve seen these bureaucratic bloodsuckers sit and listen to Indigenous people explain their dire situations in some isolated community. They’ve traveled from far away to ask for help. After hearing about the horrific situation, the bureaucratic leech puts his hands behind his head and says, “We can’t help you. You have to go see somebody else”. This is known as “passing the buck” to someone else until they wear them out and they go home with nothing.

Our suggestion to Mr. Obama is to dump this scrounging class system. These freeloading gate keepers’ jobs are to sit behind the desk and take some of the cream as it passes by them. In the end, they’ve done a good job if they’ve made sure that the money meant for the people or program gets almost nothing. Indian Affairs is loaded with non-natives who are trained in that colonial system.

The ground under the feet of emperor Obama is shaking. If he wants to get more money to the people, he should get rid of this meat grinding slaughterhouse. These plunderers who were sent to Turtle Island by the European elite came here to kill us off so they could steal everything that wasn’t nailed down. 115 million of us were killed off. The elite who run these systems have to change or adapt to the new reality, and not just by getting rid of their babysitter, cleaning lady, chauffeur or maid. The conditions they have created are critical everywhere. The mobs are getting hysterical. People are resisting and reacting worldwide. Some think the elites are going to run. Where? To outer space? Good riddance!

This is how this pecking order system works. At the top of the triangle sits the boss who got there by hook or by crook. So the meanest scoundrel sits at the top, has long lunches, plays golf and hollers at people sometimes. Below him/her is a huge pyramid of people who “yes” the boss but call him down at the water cooler. The more people he has working under him, the more money he gets. The one with an empire of 100,000 employees is paid millions upon millions. The one with only two under him gets a much lower pay. So it pays to perpetuate the empire with more people in it even if they do nothing. After all, they have a direct line to siphon money out of the taxpayers’ pockets.

Let’s say that the government has budgeted $100,000 to fix a bad water plant problem in an isolated Indigenous community. This plant was designed by the bureaucrats and was meant to cause sicknesses and even death. They want to move these people because there is gold or diamonds underneath them or fresh water nearby to export to the U.S. 70% of Indigenous communities have toxic drinking water not fit for human consumption. This is no accident. Do you really believe the Canadian engineers are that incompetent?

The federal, provincial, municipal and band council hierarchies all take their cuts for “administration” all the way down to the community level. In the end there is almost nothing left to fix the problem. So another proposal goes up the chain, the bureaucrats do the same end run and pocket more money. They make even more by prolonging negotiations, court cases, licensing fees and making sure it doesn’t get resolved, because it wasn’t meant to. The people get warn down and are forced to make a deal that doesn’t benefit them. In the meantime, the band or tribal councilors who work with the banksters live like Middle Eastern sheiks, while crumbs trickle down to the people. If the problem was fixed, the whole hierarchy would fall down like a house of cards. Some bureaucrats might even lose their jobs, we hope. They fight like rats to keep their positions because they’re incompetent. Who else would hire them?

The whole set up of lazy bums depends on this system. It’s never meant to serve the people. In November 2008 the heads of the Wall Street financial hierarchies were the first to pocket $750 billion from the U.S. Treasury. Everyone appeared to oppose this package. The nation might have been threatened with martial law or something else that forced Congress to go along with it.

To save money and stimulate the economy, demolish the hierarchy. Then bring the relationship between the tax dollar and the grassroots closer together. Instead of getting one dollar out of $100, $95 will go where it’s needed.

Let’s b%&@!h slap these parasites in these bureaucracies who sit at desks behind glass walls in big buildings and stare at computers. They are roosting chickens who have jobs, homes, cars, university tuition for their kids and vacations for taking 90% in fees from the people whose resources they are stealing.

Why are the currencies going down in value? Why can’t they trade, ship goods or make contracts like they use to? The U.S. dollar is only paper with some printing on it that needs stolen Indigenous resources to prop it up. The thieves have been putting up our land and resources, without our knowledge or permission, as collateral on another parasite, the stock exchange. We never surrendered our land or resources to anyone. This form of raising money from the public is fraud. This toilet paper system of currency went along until we Indigenous people started to resist. We are the caretakers, trustees, protectors and defenders of the earth. Our responsibility is to help achieve balance within the natural world. Our duty is to stop the depletion of our resources which is killing everything and everybody. We, the stewards of mother earth, have spoken.
