Mohawk Warrior and Champion of the People Dies – March 13, 2013. A great loss to the people, to the nation, to the resistance, anti-imperialist  movement right across Great Turtle Island.

JOHN HILLOn March 13th, Dacajeweiah, Splitting-the-Sky, 61, left us forever when he passed away in his home in Adams Lake, British Columbia. Dac’s colonial name was John Boncore Hill, from Six Nations. “From Attica to Gustafsen Lake,” and thereafter, he was a warrior, a comrade, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a friend.

We deeply mourn his loss.

The family will release a biographical statement and details of memorial arrangements in due course. With deepest love to his wife, She-Keeps-the-Door, and children. We stand with Dac’s many many co-fighters and friends. He loved the People. The AIM song is dedicated to the continuance of the resistance after a warrior has fallen A.I.M. song

SURVIVING SIEGES

MNN. Mar. 10, 2013. It’s an art! Canada has attacked us many times, Gustafssen Lake, Ipperwash, Six Nations, Oka, Burnt Church NS, etc. We’ve studied and learned their Modus operandi. For the 1990 crisis in 3 Mohawk communities, Canada brought in Col. Musgrave, Britain’s foremost expert on psychological war tactics. He was the brain behind the failed tactics against the Irish. He failed with us too. He arrogantly announced that in 3 weeks we would break down mentally and psychologically.

Helicopters were flown over our heads all night long. Blinding bright lights were shone through our windows to disturb our sleep. Fighter jets flew low over our heads, that were supposed to cause pregnant women to miscarry. Misleading news reports were televised, showing us with big bunkers, 50 caliber machine guns and weaponry we never knew we had. We were being provoked to take the first shot. Our communication with the outside world was cut off or interfered with. A doctor’s phone remained which could not be disconnected. Water and electricity were turned on and off. Food was not allowed in. Sometime old and rotten food was allowed in. Soldiers peed in the juice. We threw the rotten eggs back at them. Snipers were stationed to take out anyone they thought was a leader. The kids learned to put wet cloths on their face for tear gas bombs. Bayonets and other weapons were used against unarmed non-combatants and children. Criminal charges were laid against us for defending ourselves.

Some of our people were banished, separated from spouses, children, family for long periods of time. A lawyer showed up ready to help. 

The false media stories incited violent attacks against us by red necks and psychologically unstable. Quebec Police organized hooligans to attack a convoy of elders coming out of the community. The crowd stoned, beat the people and crushed the cars. One man died the next day. When we came out of the siege, we all got badly beaten. One 14 year old was stabbed in the chest.

False alarms were constantly set off. Like the cry wolf tale, false alarms were sent out so many times that no one listened. Then the wolf moved in for the kill undisturbed. We asked the troops to withdraw, raise the white flag and talk to us. Canada will do anything to get out of respecting the law, their fiduciary and international law obligations. 

Settler behavior was silly and dangerous. We thought about our ancestors, continued our ceremonies and concentrated on the faces that were coming to us in the next generations. Everyone has a right to self-determination under international and natural law.

AH’KEE!!!

MNN. 9, 2013. Ice hockey is the fastest and most exciting winter game in the world. It began in brutal northern winters. The Indigenous of Great Turtle Island were the first to play a game on the ice. The Mi’kmag of the East were seen playing this game in the 1600’s, with a curved tool on an ice surface. The first puck was a frozen apple.

Many other Indigenous nations played a version of field hockey with a puck or ball and curved wooden stick. No padding or equipment was used by the players. The word ‘hockey’ came from a Mohawk scream of pain, “ah’kee!”, when they got hit with the ball.

The first native hockey player in the NHL was Fred Sasakamoose for the Chicago Black Hawks. There have been many since. 

Our simple game has been adopted as Canada’s most beloved national sport. It’s been adopted outside of Great Turtle Island. One of the greatest Canadian Hockey lovers was Stompin ‘ Tom Connors, whom we lost recently. He wrote a great song on “the good old hockey game”. Queen Elizabeth suddenly comes down with vomiting and diarrhea and lands in the hospital. The hierarchy is collapsing in upon itself. Canada is in a hurry to put the final nail on the coffin they made for us, in a desperate attempt to try to get our resources and funds by eliminating us. They are brazenly going for it! Journalist Doug Cuthand writes *[link] about the demonizing and personal attacks of our people. 20 nations have presented their concerns in Geneva to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Abundant evidence has been provided of racial hatred and misinformation by Corporate Canada and it’s media hounds.

“Seeing Red”, a history of natives in Canadian newspapers, states: There’s been a “consistent policy of degrading and marginalizing First Nations”, portraying us as morally depraved, inferior and resisting progress.

Ezra Levant of Sun Media called protesters “terrorists” committing crimes against Canada. He said, “It’s dangerous enforcing the law, especially against Mohawk Warriors who dress in camouflage, carry an assault rifle, some of whom have served in the Canadian or U.S. military.” lying press

Lorne Gunter, of Sun Media, belittled the treaties with the Crown and particularly the “Two Row Wampum” which is the basis of all valid treaties on Great Turtle Island. He ignorantly called it “rubbish” and asked, “How come non-aboriginals largely paid for both canoes and do most of the paddling in each too?”

Christie Blatchford, of The Star Phoenix and National Post, belittles  us at every chance and hopes we are doomed. She asks, “whether there’s enough of aboriginal culture left to even dream of that lofty status [legal nation to nation relations], … Smudging and drumming do not a nation make.”dekanawida talks

MNN. Feb. 25, 2013. Kanen:to Paul Diabo was a very important man in Indigenous history. He made it possible for ironworkers and all other Iroquois and Indigenous to cross the border to the Unite States freely. 

Problems began when the US Congress instituted the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924. The Haudenosaunee [Iroquois] people refused to accept US citizenship when they realized that they would lose their treaty status and all claims to be a distinct nation. It seems that the American government didn’t like that and decided to make an example of one young ironworker who still dared to cross that [Canada-US] border to work.

Diabo was an iron-worker from Kahnawa:ke. He was arrested in 1926. In 1927 at age 36, he appeared in court to discuss his deportation to Canada as he was considered an illegal immigrant because of the new act.

Although Kanen:to faced trials and the possibility of going to prison yet another time [he had been in prison for getting caught in Philadelphia before, working on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge], he did not give up. He argued that it was his right to cross the border without interference, according to the Jay Treaty of 1794. He said that since he was a citizen of the Haudenosaunee Six Nations Confederacy he was able to cross the border without anyone stopping him. During his time in court, the people in Kanawa:ke were helping Diabo and his family by providing both financial and moral support. 

Finally in 1928, he did win his case and the right to cross the border freely, a victory for him and all his people. The court later deemed in 1952 that any person who had at least 50% Native blood could have these rights. 

This was an amazing success. And this all happened because one of our Indigenous men risked his freedom to fight for the rights of his people.

ANOTHER US INVASION OF CANADA COMING

MNN. Feb. 19, 2013. In June 2006, US Border Patrol and ATF [Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms] were caught monitoring the Six Nations standoff at Caledonia. There was no outcry. Our men were charged with interfering with these foreign agents.  Was this part of the groundwork for the future US invasion of Canada?

Is Prime Minister Harper the ‘Trojan Horse” for the US? When Hitler went into Austria during WWII, he had sent in secret agents to take over all levers of power, corporations, government, police and military. Then the Austrians welcomed him with open arms, parades and waved German flags. Will the US take over Ottawa, amidst waving Stars and Stripes, without firing a shot?

Children’s Aid Society, law enforcement and military are closing in on our communities. The military is hiding on the outskirts of some of them ready to invade at a moment’s notice. The social services are set to declare an emergency and grab our children. 

A totalitarian regime is being put into place. We are the initial targets to frighten the public so no one will dare to resist. To commit martial law welfare recipients are the most vulnerable.

Our corporate band and tribal councils slyly help their masters make our society dependant, frightened and fearful, with no place to turn. These totalitarian schemes have been tried before.  They fail.  Prime Minister Harper does not object to this violation of Indigenous rights.

US and Canada, you will deal with us as a free people, the rightful guardians of unsurrendered Great Turtle Island. We created the perfect reality, which was interrupted 500 years ago.

MNN. Feb. 16/13. Fundamentalist whites think they are always right. Prime Minister Harper cruelly and coldly told Indigenous women victims of horrific assault and sexual abuse crimes by the RCMP to go to their rapists to file reports. This is a disrespectful white privilege remark to fuel racism.

When we walk into a store at the same time as a white person, the security guard follows us and leaves them alone to shop.

When a white persons tries to get into a school, applies for a job, or hunts for an apartment, they get it because they are white and don’t look threatening. The person dishing out the privilege is usually white. White privilege also means scores of second rate white people slide through the system because their ignorance and flaws are overlooked. This has obviously lead to mediocrity of brains and talent in high places.

Whites benefit from living in a world they designed, mostly run by white people that has been built on our land. They always say they did not personally take the land, but continue to benefit from its possession and fruits. To do this they inflict systemic racism and lawlessness on the land owners. 

We always point out white privilege. No one listens to us unless a white person says it in mainstream media.  Otherwise the masses do not believe it. Historically, on MSM 4 bad stories for every good one on Indigenous to fuel racism. 

Here are some of the white insights into the issue: white privilege can’t be changed. They say affirmative action has made being white a disadvantage! It’s natural. White privilege is a good thing because white Europeans have civilized the world. Whites are inherently superior. Any white who says differently is a weakling and a traitor.    

Integrational whites are often paternalistic and condescending of Indigenous people. They want to keep the peace, avoid confrontation and maintain control. They want to keep the status quo, to continue the systemic racism. 

They’re adamant about keeping their white privilege. They are concerned about any of the settlers who are starting to stand against the genocide.   

White privilege is not merit. It is unearned. When we Indigenous seek a job, an apartment or a position in school and we are turned down, it’s because we are Indigenous. Unqualified whites will generally be put ahead of us on most lists.

A warrior’s duties are based on the natural instinct to survive. It is not man-made. He will tell us his name. After receiving his name before the people, he becomes a member of the community.

His mother, grandmothers and grandfathers raise him from birth until his voice changes. They help him develop “onigonra”, the mind, which is his fire. They feed, clothe and make him comfortable, strong and healthy. He learns the basic aspects of indigenous life. The women observe all the young people and find their special gifts, to be guided and trained for certain duties.   

Then his uncles on his mother’s side take him. He fasts to seek his protection and medicine. His umbilical cord and the soil of his territory are placed in his medicine bag, which he always wears. 

He learns to defend himself and build up his endurance. His physical training begins before sunrise every morning. He starts running as far and as hard as he can until high noon. He sees something new and different every day within nature around him, the night creatures, flowers opening up, birds singing and the day insects coming out.

His will comes from nature. He has to know our laws and ways and apply the truth. Kaianereh’ko:wa is based on truth and nature: skenna, kariwiio and kasastsensera [peace righteousness and power]. Sa-o-ie-ra means it’s natural, instilled in us by creation. We have the natural instinct to protect ourselves, our people, our clans, our territories and everything that sustains life. 

We were taken off the path by genocide programs of the invaders of Great Turtle Island. They brought man-made beliefs that violated nature. For a time we became confused. 

Warriors of old did not have to deal with media manipulations, high tech police surveillance, wanted posters, phony charges to criminalize them into submission to the colonial system. 

Our ancestors sacrificed much so that we would survive. Nature is here forever. We are real people forever, Onkwehonwe. 

The Rotiskenrakete is not a soldier, but a defender of the people. Peace is the warrior’s goal. He knows the war is not over until it is won. If the conflict continues, the black wampum string is dropped. They fight until they win. The adversary must agree  to live peacefully under the great law of peace. Then they will retain their culture, language, government, land and ways. 

Rotiskenrakete are the carriers of the soil of Great Turtle Island. As long as the Ongwehonwe are here, the Rotiskenrakete will be here too.  All men are warriors.  It’s natural.

1701 GREAT PEACE OF MONTREAL  
 
MNN.  27 June 2012.   The Great Peace of Montreal was completed on June 25th 1701.  It is the treaty that established the invaders’ right to live here.  Canadian history omits it. 
 
The French sued for peace to end their 92-year war with us, called the French and Indian wars.  
 
This treaty legitimized their presence on Great Turtle Island. All immigrants agreed to live according to the Kaianerekowa, the Great Law of Peace, through the Guswentha, the Two Row Wampum.  They would stay on their boat, not interfere with us, live in perpetual peace and could never own any of our territory.
           
Our younger brothers agreed to become of one mind with the natural world.  The Kaianerekowa is the great medicine that comes from the minds of humanity, to create peace and take care of each other. 
 
This is the only legal means by which anyone other than an ongwehonwe can live here.   
 
From the Arctic, Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico  indigenous nations took part in the solemn ratification ceremonies. 
 
In July 1701 we took the wampums to the British at Albany, who had taken over the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam in 1684.  They agreed to the same terms.  From here the Nanfan Treaty 1701 gave the British permission to live with us in peace. 
 
In 1710 five Iroquois chiefs from each Haundensaunee nation went to Europe for the first and only time.  One chief died on the way.  They took the wampum belts to explain and ratify the Guswentha with the monarchs.  All 13 royal bloodlines attended.  Teeyeeneenhogarow, Sagaweathquatiethtow, Honeeyeathtawnorow and Etowohkoam were dubbed the “Four Indian Kings”.     
 
The hierarchical heads turned the visit into a big circus.  They didn’t want peace.  Only war, ‘ordo ab chao’.   
 
As a patriarchy they couldn’t let their women exercise female power.  Without it, the peace could not be adopted.    
 
The American Revolution was the first false flag.  It was waged to destroy the Great Law constitution of peace and turn it into the US constitution of war.  In 1779, the Americans sent 13,000 soldiers to Onondaga, the capital of the Iroquois Confederacy, to try to destroy the peace forever.  They could never extinguish the fire of the people. 
 
The British parked their ships in Quebec and took the year off so the Americans could try to finish us off. 
 
Under international law when such a treaty is broken, everything goes back to one day before the treaty was ratified.  In this case, June 24, 1701.  We never surrendered anything.  They reneged on living peacefully.  They are squatters.     
 
Once their hierarchy is gone and they give rights to their women, they can trace the roots to the Tree of Peace and establish peace with us.
 
Mohawks have not been to Onondaga since 1779.  We had to leave our home communities to save our people and maintain the peace.   Canada imprisons us here to continue their illusion of freedom, that this war was real.  It was all theatre.  The Mohawks will return to Onondaga to stand up the Tree of Peace. 
 
That’s when our traitors will have to return to a proper mind with us. The women will give three warnings to the errant leaders.  If they do not heed their warnings, the war chief drops the black wampum.  They may grab it before it hits the floor and redeem themselves.  If it hits the floor, the warriors smash in their heads with the war club to remove their errant minds.
