KAKWIRAKERON, WARRIOR, TRAVELS ON

MNN. Nov. 2, 2017. On the early morning hours of October 31, 2017, kahienkehaka [Mohawk] kakwirakeron, beloved husband of Verna (Cooper) Montour, died of natural causes surrounded by his family. He was born Arthur B. Montour on June 26th, 1942 in Buffalo, NY. He was the eldest brother of Johnny, Judy, Eric, Keith, and Patricia Montour.

He changed all his i.d. to kakawirakeron, learned to fluently speak kanien-kehaka-neha at 30 years of age and knew and understood thoroughly the kaia-nerekowa, the great peace. 

He left a legacy of 59 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

kakwirakeron spent his childhood in kahnawake. He began ironworking at 17 years of age, worked throughout great turtle island, as a foreman and superintendent, building bridges and high rises with Local 361 out of Brooklyn, NY. 

In the early 1970’s, he became actively involved in the Warrior Society. He was involved in the kahnawake issues with non-natives; spokesperson during the Moss Lake and Ganienkeh Land Reclamations in ‘so called’ New York State; traveled to Switzerland and Holland as part of the Haudenosaunee Delegation to the United Nations in 1977; and involved in the standoff in Racquette Point in Akwesasne in 1979. In 1989, he was tried on US Federal R.I.C.O. charges for conspiracy in assisting to stop an FBI raid in Akwesasne, serving 10 months as a political prisoner.

kakwirakeron stood up for his knowledge of the kaia-nere-kowa, great peace, and for the people without hesitation. He was appointed spokesperson by the clan mothers.

He always strived for peaceful solutions amidst very volatile situations. 

In 1997  he stood alongside over 100 onkwe-hon-weh against the violation of sovereignty, to resist New York State illegal taxation of gas and cigarettes in Haudenosaunee communities. He was arrested within Onondaga territory. The NYS police INDIAN DETAIL were charged with using deadly force against men, women and children. He believed in onkwe-hon-weh asserting our sovereignty.  

kakwirakeron will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to know him and his memory will continue. 

kakwirakeron will return to his home at the farm in Bombay (556 Quain Road) [akwesasne] on Thursday November 2, 2017 to be joined by his family from 2 pm – 5 pm. Friends and public may begin calling at 5 pm in Bombay until Friday.

On Friday, November 3, 2017, kakwirakeron will return to kanonsesne [great law longhouse in akwesasne highway 37] at 2 pm for community viewing until the funeral. The Funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday November 4th at 11 am with Atehroniatakon officiating. The family is inviting friends and loved ones to a traditional meal to follow at the Farm in Bombay.

“We walk the red road, the straight road. We try to be kind and gentle to everyone we meet and try to give thanks no matter what the pain. We hope to reach all peoples minds”.

DRENCHED IN BLOOD

MNN. Sept. 5, 2017. Our people talk about the time great turtle island was covered with “otsinonwa kowa, prehistoric mammals like the dinosaur. We roamed among these large creatures. So they could not kill us our grandfathers, the four winds, thunder, lightning and storms, destroyed them and put them in the earth.

WE ARE ALL PART OF CREATION WHICH SHOULD NOT BE DISTURBED.

Our ancestors knew that If they should ever come back to the surface they would cause great misery.

The white scientists theorized it was meteors, volanoes and earthquakes that extinguished them. Now they say it was a great electrical storm that put them beneath the earth.

Since the Europeans came to this land, these mammals which, formed into coal, oil, natural gases and minerals, are being disturbed from their resting places, exhumed onto the surface of the earth. Global warming, pollution of air, water and land are disintegrating the earth. Fossil fuel, which should stay in the earth, is creating havoc and killing everything natural.

In the ohenton kariwatekwen we remember and are thankful for what our grandfathers do for us to keep these mammals beneath the earth. They are supposed to stay there. The white man is totally disregarding violating nature. They are unleashing that which is supposed to remain undisturbed. The natural ores drove the white man crazy and made them rob, steal and murder each other and all life.

Mankind and all other life may become extinct. Plants, animals, birds and the natural world are in the process or have already disappeared.  

Nature will survive in some form. We onkwe-hon-weh have known of this for thousands of year. The white man is aware but allows greed to overcome any respect for all life.

When the white man arrived on great turtle island, they got permits to steal our land on the condition they murdered us, disposed of our bodies and built their towns and cities over the graves. They ground up our bodies and mixed it with the soil to start their gardens. They plowed our bones into the soil.

“HIDE THE CHILDREN!”

This is one of their many methods to hide the bodies of 150 million murdered onkwe-hon-weh.

THE VOICES OF OUR MISSING AND MURDERED ANCESTORS WILL BE HEARD!

Trump is hypnotizing the public by speaking from both sides of his mouth at the same time. How did he lie his way into the White House? Those who see what evil lurks in the hearts of men say nothing. It’s like Al Capone walking into court, saying to the judge, “Your honour, I pardon myself” and walking out into the street a free man.

The United States has no law. The lunatics are running the asylum. People cheer him on and tell him how fabulous he is and he is going to save the world.

Donald “Quicksilver” Trump wants to be the biggest real estate dealer in the world by attempting to sell great turtle island for trillions. He has convinced the buyers he has eliminated our ownership and he can sell counties, municipalities, reservations and cities. 

We who live on the other side of the teio-hateh, two row wampum, watch from our canoe as the ship is sinking.   


Too many people are asleep at the wheel. Those trying to get into lifeboats will be sucked under the ocean as the ship goes down. From our canoe we will warn them of what’s coming and throw a lifeline. Many would rather listen to a pied piper who is taking all the children that will disappear forever. We are compassionate but no one listens to us.

MNN. JULY 17, 2017. We often see elders at the pow wows and other native events with very young women, who look young enough to be their daughter. They have their arms around her neck and body, constantly hugging and kissing her in public and laughing. This kind of relationship between an old man and his daughter looks strange. It turns out to be his girlfriend. 

Us genuine elders think that many of our missing and murdered women could have been lured away by just such chicken hawks. Now we have the dirty internet elder preying on our girls and boys.

INDIAN AFFAIRS: “GIRLS, THE CHIEFS ARE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE HOTEL”.

They do not look like the regular husbands, fathers, uncles and sons who care for their families. These predators are showing our young men how to go after young girls and parade them around like a prize. They disrespect our young girls and makes them vulnerable. 

THE GURU SAYS: “GUYS, REMEMBER, YOUR VIAGRA LOVES HER MORE THAN YOU”. 

Those men who are real fathers, grandfathers and true uncles have self respect and do not disregard these women and girls. They know their responsibility is to protect the mothers of the future generations. Everyone knows that all life does not condone unnatural acts.

Maybe we would not have all these murdered and missing women if the men took their responsibility seriously rather than victimizing them. Our women should have no fear of our men. Everybody has the ability to reason. We all have to watch our kids closer than ever.

June 12, 2017. The colony of Canada was registered as a corporate company in Washington DC, owned by the Vatican shareholders. On July 1st you celebrate corporatism, also known as fascism, as Canada is one of the first in the world to be accepted without holding them accountable for murder, kidnapping, and land theft.

1867 created the corporate fiction that imprisons us. It was and still is the Dominion “Colony” of Canada. The “Family Compact” and “Chateau Clique” formed a union between their municipalities in Upper Canada, Lower Canada, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. 

The Chateau Clique is the families in Quebec that trace their blood to French royalty. The Family Compact is the families in Ontario and Nova Scotia that trace their blood to English royalty. Today they are the bankers.

Before 1867 they paid rent into the Indian Trust Fund, which became the largest in the world.

On July 1, 1867, the first act of the corporation was to steal our money, the “Indian Trust Fund”, to build Canada, which they fraudulent claimed.  

They declared us non-human and actually issued hunting licenses to kill us like a bear or a deer. Every Canadian judicial statute passed since 1867 is still in play. Those genocide laws they created were never rescinded. They can be pull out and used today. The settler colonist who do not stand with us are complicit.

The G20 military attack of the citizens of Toronto landed 2,600 Canadians in a temporary prison in a warehouse, which became known as “Torontonimo Bay”. 

Canada is still the Dominion of Canada, a private colonial corporation, whose owners reside in the City of London, in the Vatican and in Washington DC, all owned by the Crown.
